Telespar Sign Support Systems are designed with ease of installation and replacement in mind

Multi-directional traffic sign mounting and viewing is possible with Telespar Sign Support Systems because of the perforated square tubing sign post design. All four sides of the post can be utilized, allowing traffic signs to be mounted back-to-back, or on adjacent sides.

Multiple signs can be mounted on a single post, cutting down on materials. Additionally, the unique telescoping square tube structure of Telespar sign post adds strength and rigidity, making for superior wind load handling and torsional stability.

Telespar Sign Supports are galvanized, for enhanced resistance to all types of weather conditions, and are available with two hole styles: pre-punched holes or knockout holes (Qwik-Punch).

Telespar Sign Post Specifications:

Both the perforated square tubing and the Qwik-Punch square tube styles have 7/16” holes (on all four sides) that are 1” on center.

Telespar Sign Posts sre produced through a unique manufacturing process that allows for telescoping of smaller tubing into the next larger size of tube. Tubing sizes range from 1-1/2” -2-1/2” on the outside dimension, with each graduation increasing by 1/4". Posts are manufactured up to 24 feet in length.

Telespar Sign Post Installation

Telespar signposts are installed easily by either embedding directly into the ground, or by using the 2-part breakaway method (Installing a larger 3-4 foot post in the ground, leaving 4" above grade, and telescoping a smaller post inside then securing with breakaway hardware). Sign post couplers and bases may also be utilized for installation.

Installation can be performed by one person, at ground level, eliminating the need for heavy equipment. Replacement is just as easy, with minimal tool requirements.

• 14F12 (1-1/2", 12ga)
• 16F12 (1-3/4", 12ga)
• 20F12 (2", 12ga)
• 22F12 (2-1/4", 12ga)
• 24F12 (2-1/2", 12ga)

** use 'D' in place of 'F' for 14 gauge posts, 'Q' for Qwik-Punch (which is 14 ga material)

The "12" after the post gauge indicates that the tube is performated - a "10" would indicate solid tubing, but that is for mechanical applications (not sign post, so you won't see it on our traffic safety site, althouth we do sell Mechanical Tubing in our Unistrut Store). The post length comes next (preceded by a dash) and then the finish, for example:

16F12-10PG is a 1-3/4", 12 ga perforated post that is 10 feet in length and has a Pre-Galvanized finish.

All Telespar sign posts are galvanized to inhibit rust in outdoor applications. For plain carbon steel tubing, you'll have to check out the mechanical tubing section linked above, on our sister site.
